Description

Repair your 42″ Craftsman, Poulan, Husqvarna deck with this kit containing:

• 2 Spindle Pulleys for part number 173436 (same a pulley #’s 153535, 129861, and 177865)
• 1 Deck belt (aftermarket made to OEM specs, not a generic belt) to replace the 144000 belt, 1/2″ X 88-3/8″
• 2 Heavy Duty Spindles to Replace Spindle Part number 130794 ( (128774 housing + 137646 shaft)
  Spindles include hardware, mounting bolts (holes are tapped for easier installation)
  pulley lock nut, pulley spacer, blade bolt/washer
• 2 Upgraded 96-900 Gator 3-In-1 Gator Mulching Blades to replace the less effective factory 134149 mulching blade. 21″ long, 2.50″ wide, .187″ thick, star hole

Make sure your old 42″ deck used the 144000 (1/2″ X 88″) deck belt and 130794 spindle (has 3 mounting holes)
to determine if this is the correct kit for your mower.  If your mower has spindles with 4 mounting holes or
a deck belt that is 1/2″ X 95″ long (probably the 144959 belt) then this is the wrong kit.

Warning: Important note when installing, be sure to put the spacer (thick washer part number 187690) under the pulley (between the pulley and top bearing). Failure to install with the spacer or installing the spacer in the wrong position (on top of the pulley) will result in pulley and shaft failure in a short amount of time.
