These blades replaced a set of OEM mulcher blades. While they do an acceptable job, they don't perform any better than the original blades. In fact, I have to mow twice to get the row of clumped gass left behind. Mowing without the mulching baffle is again OEM quality. No worse but no better. I don't get small clippings noted by some reviews. Just average. Again, I mow twice to reduce the amount of clippings left behind. I gave a 3 rating because in my case I didn't see the performance claims reflected in product info. They may last longer than OEM blades though since they are measurably thicker but they don't cut any better. I'm using a Husqvarna GTH2648 on an acre of bermuda grass.

I purchased these mower blades for my Husqvarna 2548 48" riding mower. These blades mulch material down to a powder! The shape of the blades actually lifts lawn like a suction and discharge is incredible! This results in a clean, even cut on grass. Completely mulched light brush and blackberries in my pastures. These blades are strong, sharp, and excellent quality steel and can be resharpened and used over several seasons. I highly recommend these for mulching and bag catching.

these blades worked great. i had my original ones sharpened at a lawn mower shop and they butchered them so i was in need of a new set. i decided on the gators and after 3 weeks of hunting in stores for the ones that would fit my 48 inch deck i just ordered them on amazon. a week later for shipping for a total of 4 weeks without mowing and a lot of rain my lawn was very tall. i bolted up the blades to my husqvarna 23 hp 48 in cut and went to work. i use side discharge so i was worried about clumps of grass building up and smothering the lawn. after i finished mowing i inspected the lawn and only found a few of those clumps which i was able to make disappear with a little kick. these blades did a great job of mulching up the clippings and making them disappear into the ground. my next set of blades after these have been sharpened past usability will definitely be another set of gators. i just need to find a mulching plug for my mowers discharge to get the full effect of the blades, and keep the clippings from blowing into my garden and neighbors yard.

These Gator blades are sharp, balanced and give a really level cut. you can mow side by side in both directions and the cut is smooth and level. I mow heavy bermuda grass with a mulching attachment and the clippings disappear. I like these blades.

These are nice blades for mowing. They shred the grass into very small pieces and cut through it with ease.
