These blades fit the 48" mower deck on my Sears Craftsman GT 3000 tractor. The blades are Oregon brand, and are painted black. They are good quality, about 1/4 inch thick. They have the correct star pattern center hole so no problem with spindle fit. These blades are DISCHARGE blades, as opposed to mulching blades. My tractor's original blades, and the blades available at my local Sears store have always been mulching blades. The discharge blades have the advantage of less clogging under the deck, since they throw the cut grass out immediately. This is also a disadvantage if a clean appearance matters. The grass is not cut up finely, and would need to be raked from a lawn if you are cutting long grass. I'm mowing pastures, so this doesn't affect me.
At half the price of Sears blades, these do a very good job of cutting grass and weeds, as long as you don't need a clean yard after mowing. For yards, cutting the grass more often would probaly eliminate the mess since the cut ends would be smaller. Or you could use a bagger.

Bought three of these blades for half the price sears wanted, and the quality is the same. Will buy again through amazon.

Have tried over 5 different type blades and have always had trouble with the bagger getting plugged. These blade do an awesome job getting the grass into the bags and not stuck in the chute. Not sure how long they will last but I would buy again

Blades came quick and fit perfectly on my Craftsman 48" deck. The cut is tight and clean again on my field. The lift is reasonable, but I'm not sure if I'd select these for mulch. I use discharge so this is ok. Compared to local store bought the price is outstanding.
Would recommend and buy again.

These are great replacement blades at a terrific price for my rider mower. Only on Amazon.com am I able to buy these high lift blades. I'm telling you, they are really hard to find at Sears. The blades don't have paint on them but who cares? How long does the paint stay on mower blades anyways? They are very sharp and balanced, when you get in the mail and you really can't beat the price. The quality of the steel used is thick so you don't have to worry about them wearing out on you so soon. I give this purchase five stars.
