We received our starter in a plain paper envelope so when we received it it was chipped on top but still in working order. we did have to trim it down some so it would fit but works great. I would say my only complaint is what it was shipped in. It should have been wrapped up and put in a box to keep from breakage.

Recieved the starter in the time specified. The fit was perfect and it is much stronger than the original starter. Time only will tell how the reliability is.

This starter packs a punch. I would definitely recommend this over an OEM starter. This thing spins my 19.5 Brigs like a top. Very happy that I did not get another sluggish OEM starter. My old starter would overheat during long cranking (ran out of gas) however, I never have had a problem with this one.

Agreed, the packing could have been better. A USPS mailer envelope is fine for gasket sets. It's not suitable packaging for an item of this weight.
That said, the starter arrived undamaged, well ahead of the ETA. As advertised, it spins this L-head Briggs engine much faster than the OEM starter.
It's made in China, if anyone's interested.
Perfect fit, no modifications necessary. The original starter bogged down and drained the battery. This starter performs much better.

Ordered this starter when my original finally gave up after years of sluggish service. This starter is so much better than the original. It spins the motor easily and works even after the motor is hot from use, which my old one wouldn't. Quick shipment was a great!!
