This belt was not a duplicate to MTD 754-0467A. I put it on the tractor and it was too tight. The belt smoked and the tractor would move by itself and the breaks wouldn't stop the tractor. I reordered an MTD belt 754-0467A and it worked just fine. After a lot of extra work my tractor is working great now.

1... the belt was short and not coated to slip like OEM belt so it doesn't disengage  Jul 07, 2015
By Matthew Armstrong
on my MTD Tractor the belt was short and not coated to slip like OEM belt so it doesn't disengage. It is dangerous because the tractor keeps moving when pedal is disengaged and you have to turn off motor to put in reverse.

1Not a good replacement for 954-0467A!!  Jun 16, 2016
By mjheed
was not a direct replacement for 954-0467A.... too tight. Belt seems thicker(deeper) than original. My tractor moves without being engaged!! DANGEROUS! Need to find a better substitute.

6/18/2016 UPDATE: Purchased an MTD Brand 954-0467A belt. Compared to this PIX : What a difference. The PIX belt *WAS* thicker (deeper)... so much so that it was INCREDIBLY difficult to install - I cut it to remove it - and my tractor would never disengage. Now, with the MTD brand belt... it's thinner, installation was so much easier, and it's wrapped in a fabric slip coating that allows it to stay still when there's no tension. Now my tractor drives like it was brand new! The MTD belt is worth EVERY PENNY. PIX should NOT be listing this as a replacement for 954-0467A.

5Works great  Jul 17, 2013

Over the winter I replaced all the belts on the tractor. I've been mowing a very hilly lawn each week since April and everything works great. Product is recommended.
